Concerto for Trombone and Wind Ensemble by Salvador Brotons/arr. Virginia Allen. Premiered by Mark Lawrence (Principal Trombone, San Francisco Symphony) and The U.S. Army Band at the Eastern Trombone Workshop on March 22, 2003. The original version of the concerto with orchestra was written in 1995 for Ricardo Casero, Principal Trombonist of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. The concerto is also available with piano reduction. For information on the concerto version with orchestra or piano, please visit the Brotons & Mercadal Edicions Musicals web site. Virginia Allen for brass quintet with brass ensemble.  “Dancing to Restore an Eclipsed Moon” commissioned by Blair Bollinger and premiered at the Bar Harbor Brass Festival by the Extension Ensemble Brass Quintet and the festival brass ensemble on August 16, 2002 in Bar Harbor, Maine. Instrumentation: Brass quintet + 4 Tpts, 4 Hns, 2 Tenor Tbns, Bass Tbn, Euph, Tuba, Timp, 3 Perc (including vibes & marimba). To be published by Southern Music.
